I think it's so easy to get caught up in worrying about someone who got dealt a bad hand but maybe they're that way because they are supposed to be? They are really here to teach us and be amazing.Jackiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14834817005321267767noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23137623.post-19647292079333626562008-11-01T05:57:00.000-07:002008-11-01T05:57:00.000-07:00loved reading about your journey. It just sounds so demeaning and offensive.<BR/>As the mom of a child with special needs, hearing the word retarded used like that is very painful. I've only experienced the world of special needs for 12 years. You've been dealing with it your whole life. You have the right to call it whatever you want, I just wonder why.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23137623.post-86265173364408149742008-10-30T13:46:00.000-07:002008-10-30T13:46:00.000-07:00First of all, what a great story. I have a wonderful wife, and two wonderful children who are both turning 3 years old in February, and good health. I have a great house, neighborhood, career.....and I still find ways to complain about things that I really should be grateful for. The next time you feel like complaining, take a quick look around you and take in what you have, and I am sure when you think of this story, be thankful for everything you have.Olliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15198244318446586116noreply@blogger.com
